    Important Info about Saturday

    Our meet this Saturday is against the Oak Ridge North Otters!

    Here is a timeline:

    7:00 - 7:20am - Check-in

    7:45 - 8:15am - Warmups

    8:15 - Team Meeting / Line up for first events

     

    Please continue to read for important information about the event:

    1 - Where is the meet & where do we set up?

    From the home page, click "Swim Meets" then click on "Oak Ridge."  One of the items you will see is "get driving directions". This will bring up a Yahoo Map with directions to that pool from Forestgate.  You can type in your address to get specific directions.  

    Here is parking and set up info from the Otters:

    "We have a large covered pavillion just out side the pool gates for visiting teams. Also you might pass that parking at Rooms to Go is available. Keep to the back of the building there is a bridge to the park area. This is the best place for parking. Your team is large thought so we may need some street parking also.
    Parking at the park is somewhat limited, no parking on the grass. On the street out side the park parking on the sides without mailboxes only and don't block any of our neighborhood driveways."
     

    Heat sheets will be available for purchase for $3 and there will be concessions.

    2 - What time is Check-In? 

     Because this is an AWAY meet, check-in time is 7:00am - 7:20am.  PLEASE PLEASE allow enough time to get your swimmer to the pool for on-time check-in.  It is critical we have all of our swimmers checked in on time so coaches can make any adjustments needed and computer clerks can edit and print the reports needed to run the meet.

     3- What about Relays?

    You can check the WHITE BINDER at practice today to see if your child will be swimming in a relay.  Coaches carefully build these relay teams.   If you are part of a relay, WE NEED YOU!!!    The other three swimmers on that relay are counting on you!!  A no-show during check-in will result in being SCRATCHED from the relay.  

    **In addition** - please check the relay board after warm-ups but BEFORE the meet starts.  Sometimes we have scratches and make substitutions.  You will want to see if you have been moved or added to a relay event.

    4 - Volunteer!!  

    We still need age group parents (specifically for the 11-12 age groups), timers & scribes.  Any and ALL help is SOOO appreciated!!  Sign up online.
