Divisional Swim Meet Important Information, Saturday, June 25, 2011

*** PLEASE LET KOREY, MICHELE,  MARY-BROOKE, CINDY (okay - SOMEONE!)  KNOW IF YOU ARE SIGNED UP FOR DIVISIONALS BUT WON'T BE THERE ***  When you sign up we are counting on you :)

Please download the Divisional set up diagrams on the homepage "links."  Print the diagrams and this email out to take with you!

Timeline:

6:45 - 7:15 am:  Check In --  NO LATE CHECK INS WILL BE ALLOWED SO PLEASE BE THERE ON TIME!

7:45 - 8:10 am: Warm ups -- Waves are assigned Lanes 1,2,3,4,5 & share 6 for warmups.  See diagrams for lanes.  Listen to coaches for instructions. 

8:15 am:  Team Meeting, Line up for first events

8:30 am:  Meet Starts!

Place: Spring High School Natatorium.  It is on the I-45 North Feeder road on the corner of I-45 and Cypresswood -- please click on the swim meet on the website to get driving directions.

Volunteer:  Please do this!!

Parking:  See the Diagrams.   The early bird gets the worm so for good parking get there early!

Set-Up:   The Waves will be setting up outside near the baseball fields.  Please bring your tents and lot of water!  We will have our team tents and a few extra tents from the Rec Center to use.

Concessions:  Yes - there will be concessions so bring your $$ or bring your own food & drinks and snacks

Heat Sheets:  Available for $5

Additional Information about the meet:

- Spring High School has generously allowed us to use their facility and their 8-Lane pool for our Divisional Swim Meet.  Please remind your swimmer to respect the property as well as the other swimmers!

- Divisionals is a very big and exiting meet.  Please make sure you arrive at check-in on time, and after getting your swimmers checked in walk around the facility with your swimmers and become familiar with all the important places.  Look over the diagrams as they show all the areas that you will need to be familiar with.

- Listen to our announcer for first call announcements.  If you are having a hard time hearing please be very aware of which events are being lined up so your swimmer doesn't miss his event!!!

- Deck Space around the pool is EXTREMELY limited.  Plan to watch your swimmer's event from the bleachers then move on until your swimmer's next event.  There isn't enough bleacher space to "camp" out for the entire meet and our Divisional Ref has asked parents to please be considerate of everyone else and exit the pool area when your swimmer isn't swimming.

- To access the gym and pool from our team set-up area, we must cross a driveway leading to another parking lot.  We aren't sure how busy that driveway may be so PLEASE watch your children as they cross the road to access the concessions and pool area.

- For 6 & under and 7-8 age groups:  After your have viewed your swimmer's event, exit immediately to the right and meet your swimmer by the concession area just outside the pool.  That way you can escort him or her back to your set up area.
