Waves Families-

As you know we have the Divisional Swim Meet this Saturday at Spring High School!

We are expecting about HALF of the WAVES swimmers to attend and that means we have less than HALF of our volunteer force in place.

THANK YOU SOOOOOO much to the parents who have already committed to helping with the meet!  These are the same people I count on every time, and I am thankful that you have already stepped forward to make this a successful meet for our children.

We are DESPERATELY short volunteers and we can't participate in the meet without you!!!  Please take a minute to look at the list below and REALLY consider if you can help in any way.  Many of the positions below don't require ANY experience and even Grandpa Joe or Aunt Tilly can pitch in if they are willing to help :)

When you find the place you want to be plugged into, log on to the website, click on "Swim Meets" then the "V" icon next to Divisionals.  You can type your (or grandpa's or husband's or aunt's) name in to commit to that position.

I am leaving on a long-planned family vacation on Saturday and don't want to leave our awesome team moms with a cardiac arrest because they can't fill the positions!!  I know you can do it!!!

POSTIONS WITH NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY:

Timers (can't get any closer to the pool than this!): we need 9 timers to still commit

Scribes (ditto above): we need 4 more

Data Clerk helpers/Runners (this is a cool position because you get to see the results as they come in and hang out with Korey!):  we need 3 (1 per shift)

11-12 Boys AND Girls age group parent:  Do you have a swimmer this age?  This is for you!

6 & under Boys:  Do we REALLY think these guys can line up and get to the READY BENCH by themselves????

7-8 Boys:  Again....... by themselves???????  (Thank you Janean for already signing up!  She needs help!)

POSITION WITH NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY BUT REQUIRE A GOOD SENSE OF HUMOR AND WILLINGNESS TO DO WHAT IT TAKES TO GET 'ER DONE:

Ready Bench Helper: 2 more needed!!!!   AAAHHHHHH!!  The WAVES are the BIGGEST team in our division and we have the LEAST amount of helpers in this area!  Wendy Adams is leading the ready bench the first half of the meet and she needs our support to get the kids lined up and at their starting block on time.  Yes, she may miss watching an event, but we CAN'T leave her hanging!!!  Any takers??  Any dads with booming voices?????  Thank you to Patricia and to Kirsten who already committed.
