The website has a limitation in that it shows an age group based on the age the child is NOW -- so if your child has a May birthday that would bring them into the next higher age group -- that higher age group IS where he or she will compete this summer.  

For example:

Johnny Doe is now 8 but will be 9 on May 27th.  He will compete this summer in the 9-10 age group.

This is part of the Northwest Aquatic League (NWAL) rules.
