RE: Time Trial Entries

Some swimmers were not signed up for events they were eligible for.  In a few cases the coaches have added events for your swimmer. These recommendations were made for the following reasons:  

1. To allow your swimmer an opportunity to swim these events later in the season.  If there is no time from Time Trails in my computer I will not be able to add that event in future meets.   You will be amazed at how much they improve each week.

            2.  To help our coaching staff provide additional instruction to help improve their strokes.  Every swim will receive a time even if they receive a disqualification (DQ) at Time Trials. I will be providing the DQ report for the coaches to use as a training tool at future practices.

            3.   T o give your swimmer every opportunity to get the most out of the swim season. 

As a mom of a swimmer and a past swimmer myself, I am fully aware of the anxiety a swimmer can feel when entered into an event they are not proficient at.  Our goal is not to do that.  This is a Summer Swim Program and these recommendations were made to help your child.  With that said, you know your kids better than anyone so please let us know if these changes will be of any concern.
