It was a FANTASTIC meet and a GREAT effort by ALL of our WAVES swimmers!!  

I heard so many positive comments from the Hurricanes about how great the meet was - it ran VERY smoothly and the parents and swimmers truly worked together as a TEAM to help the meet run smoothly!!  I am honestly SOOOOO PROUD to be a part of the Woodlands Waves and blessed by everyone on the the team!

We can't run with meet without all of our VOLUNTEER parents!!!  We all know we do this for our kids, and your dedication is SO evident!  

I can't list everyone here, but I need to give special recognition to Mary-Brooke Denbigh, my co-lead, Kirsten Arendes and Wendy Adams, our ready bench leads.  They probably have the HARDEST volunteer jobs during the meets and do an AWESOME job keeping our kids & parents organized and ready for their events.  Mary Stanberry is our lead age-group parent and is at the meet way before many of us are getting her volunteers ready to check in the swimmers AND runs around looking for missing swimmers who don't get to ready bench on time :)  The timers and scribes are scheduled, organized and trained by the amazing team of Paul Aday, Rebecca Mills and Lance Craft.  They are always in the background and we appreciate them SO much!  Our announcers, Gayle Adair and Steve Johnson keep our meet flowing smoothly entertain us through the meet.  We couldn't run the meet withour our AMAZING group of Officials lead by Brian McCarthy!  They spend many hours in training and look out for the best interest of our swimmers.  They are the reason the meet starts on time and runs efficiantly and smoothly.  A BIG shout out to the Hurricanes Lead Official, Bill Crews, who ran this weekend's meet in Brian's absence.  Now THAT is TEAMWORK!!  Kelley Wolf stickers and sorts all of our ribbons and Brad Carlson and Matt Adams keeps our parking lot and drop-off area well-manged - so BRIGHT AND EARLY on meet mornings!

Last, but certainly NOT least - we SO appreicate our staff, Cindy Andrews (Waves Rec Specialist) and Korey Snider (Computer Clerk) for ALWAYS having our back and looking out for the WAVES!!
