Dear Waves Parents,

Welcome!  Another swim season is fast approaching, and we are once again in recruitment mode for our pool of officials.

For those of you who have already volunteered as a timer or scribe, this is a great opportunity to step up to the next level.  In the past six years, I’ve had the opportunity to volunteer in numerous positions. Being an official is by far the most fulfilling!  The job is easier and there is much more flexibility in your time at poolside.  For those of you who have not volunteered in the past, I strongly urge you to do so in whatever capacity you feel led.  The team needs you, and your kids really enjoy having you be involved. More information on officials training will be sent out as it becomes available. For new officials, training consists of a short lecture session and an on-deck demonstration session.  Once those are completed, you will take an easy open book test on-line to complete your certification. For those returning officials, recertification will be automatic by simply signing in to the NWAL site with your sign-in information from last year.  If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to  email me.
