TAAF Information

If you are going to be around for the month of July and would like to continue swimming, come join The Woodlands TAAF team.
What is TAAF? TAAF stands for the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation and is a separate entity from NWAL, the organization that governs summer league. TAAF sponsors Regional meets throughout the state. The top 3rd or 4th place finishers at the Regional meet qualify for the State Games of Texas. This year the Regional meet will be on July 13th in Rosenberg. The State Games are July 25th-28th.
The three Woodlands teams: Hurricanes, Riptides and Waves, come together as one team to form The Woodlands TAAF team. Practices are held at Lakeside pool in Alden Bridge with coaches from all three teams. Practices begin on July 1st and continue until July 24th.
June 25th is the deadline to register through the Rec Center (281-210-3950) or with Debbie Arnold (281-210-3904) for TAAF. The cost for the TAAF season is $60 for summer league swimmers/ $90 for non-summer league swimmers. This cost includes the entry fee for the Regional meet.
