Dear Waves Families-

Congratulations on a wonderful swim season!  I am so proud of our swimmers!!  Our swimmers and families are the BEST, and those who came to divisionals gave it their all.  Results are posted on the "links" section.

A few notes to round out the season--

End of Season Party - NEXT Monday, July 1st, at the Rob Fleming Aquatic Center. 5:30-8:30pm.  I will double-check on the times so you can have the correct information.  This party is for the whole family and our freinds on the Riptides and Hurricanes will be celebrating, too.  This is when the end-of-season awards and medals will be handed out, so you will definitely want to come if you are in town!!  I'll also let you know if food is provided or if you should plan to bring your own picnic.

Trinity/Ponderosa - Congratulations and GOOD LUCK to our swimmers who have qualified for invitationals!  Please see Julie or the coaches at practice this week for any questions about these meets.  For those of you in Trinity, look for another email with volunteer requests.

Ribbons/Medals - The Ribbon box will be at Forestgate this week and Lakeside starting the following week for you to stop by and pick up your swimmers awards.  Every year we have several ribbons that were not picked up by the end of the season -- so please come get yours!

Lead Parents - We could not have had a successful season without our awesome parents!  As you saw, it took many, many of us to run a meet.  I am eternally greatful to our lead parents who organized and ran each meet.  I am amazed at the great talent we have.  I never had to double-check on any of these parents - they had their teams in place each week!!!  Please give them a high-5  the next time you see them:

"Head" Lead Parent - I am sad to say that this is my last season as the Waves lead parent :(  I have SO enjoyed working with you all these past several years, but I am now working full time, and I need to spend the extra time with my family rather than managing the team.  Our family considers swim team to be one of the BEST activities to teach our kids responsibility, teamwork, HARD work, sportsmanship, and camaraderie.  We will still be on the Waves next season, so don't say goodbye to us yet!!  I am especially greatful to my husband, Garth, who made many dinners and took over the family duties these past several month.  YOU ROCK!!  I am also excited to pass on the reigns to Heather Monroe and Janet Beckman.  They are going to co-lead the team next season.  Their excitement and dedication to the team is going to make next season even better than ever!!  They have been my right-hand ladies all season long and have learned the ropes.   Please support them as you have supported me.

I'm sure you will see one or two more emails from me this season.  I hope to see you all at the pool party next week!!
