    TAAF Winter Games of Texas - Jan 18th & 19th

    Greetings Waves,

    If you would like to swim in the TAAF Winter Games of Texas as part of The Woodlands TAAF team, you must let Kallie Rees or Debbie Arnold know by Friday, December 13th.  You must also pay your registration fee at this time. All swimmers who have participated with the Cyclones or the summer league teams are eligible to participate.  You can participate in Winter TAAF even if you are currently swimming with a USA swim team.

    Here are the details:

    The meet is held at the Frisco ISD Natatorium.  Frisco is located right outside of Dallas.  Swimmers can sign up for 3 individual events.  The cost to participate is $35/swimmer.  Checks can be made payable to The Woodlands Township.  

    ***When you sign up, please let me know what 3 events your swimmer wants to swim, his/her date of birth, and whether they are willing to participate in a relay.***

    The events are the usual fare: 25 yard races for 10 & Unders (though there is a 50 Y Free for 8 & Under and 10 & Under) and 50 Yard races for 11 & Over (though there is a 100 Y Free for ages 11 & Over).  There are also 100 IM races for all age groups

    The schedule is as follows:

    Saturday, January 18th:

    ​Doors open at 6:45 a.m.  Morning Warm-Ups are 7:15 - 7:45 a.m.

    Session 1 (Boys 9 - 14) begins at 8:00 a.m.

    Afternoon Warm-ups are 1:15 - 1:45 pm

    Session 2 (Girls 9 - 14) begins at 2:00 pm

    Sunday, January 19th:

    Doors open at 7:45 a.m.  Morning Warm-ups are 8:15 - 8:45 a.m.

    Session 3 (Men 15 & Over AND Boys 8 & Under) begins at 9:00 a.m.

    Afternoon Warm-ups are 12:15-12:45 pm

    Session 4 (Women 15 & Over AND Girls 8 & Under) begins at 1:00 pm

    This meet is a lot of fun.  The top 3 finishers at the TAAF Winter Games will be eligible to participate in the Games of America in August 2015 in Lincoln, Nebraska.
