Hello Waves 2014 swimmers and families!  Hope you all had a great spring break and are looking forward to starting our season less than a month from now.  Below you will find some important information and dates.  This is a busy time of year for everyone so please read over this and keep all of this information handy!  We look forward to seeing familiar faces and meeting new ones very soon!!!!!

NEW PARENT MEETING:  THIS WEDNESDAY APRIL 2, 7-9pm :

 This is for new parents to the Waves.  Also if you missed any information last year please feel free to swing by.  We will go over several items regarding practices, meets, equipment needed, and spirit wear along with meeting our coaches, their expectations and other key people.  Order forms for spirit wear will be available as well as samples of some of the items.  Meeting will be held at Woodlands Township Recreation Center 5310 Research Forest Drive  The Woodlands, Texas 77381

SECOND ANNUAL WOODLANDS SWIMTEAM KICK OFF PARTY...  THIS SUNDAY APRIL 6, 1-4:

This party is for all three swim teams the Hurricanes, Riptides and Waves.  Feel free to bring snacks and drinks for your family.  Kona Ice will be there along with a foam pit sponsored by Alden Bridge Pediatric Dentistry (be sure and bring your swim suit for that).   D and J Sports and Swim Shops of the Southwest will be selling team suits .  Personalized swim caps will also be available for purchase and order forms for Waves Spirit Wear.   This is also a great time and place to meet our new head coach Jessie McBroom!    Party is at Rob Fleming Park at 6635 Creekside Forest Drive.

SPIRIT WEAR:

 This year our amazing Stevi Venable has worked hard in getting us some really great new spirit items along with team favorties from last year.    We can't thank Stevi enough and are so excited to share our new gear with you all.  We are working on linking the order form on our web site, but for now they are available at the new parent meeting and the kick off party.  We prefer checks for help in tracking orders, and security purposes.  Thanks again Stevi for all your hard work!!!!  First order is due April 11, 2014. 

VOLUNTEERS/OFFICIALS:

We are always looking for volunteers and we need a lot every single meet.  We are looking for a few key positions this year and will have sheets at the meeting Wednesday night and the kick off party for those interested.  Please remember this is a great opportunity to get involved in a great family sport and this team can't run without our volunteers!  Also if you are interested in becoming a NWAL certified instructor please let us know ASAP!  Training starts soon and there is limited availability for this.

Last business item is the web site.  This year it is a bit different.  Once you log on you will need to change your password.  Please keep your password handy as you will need this to register your swimmer for meets and to volunteer!
