TAAF Summer Swim Team

If you would like your child to continue to swim in July after the NWAL season, it is time to sign up for The Woodlands TAAF team. TAAF stands for the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation.

Morning practices are held at Lakeside pool in Alden Bridge beginning June 29 with the same practice schedule.  There will be two meets, Regional and State. The Regional meet will be at the CISD Natatorium this year, on July 25. You must have a TAAF registration number in order to swim in the TAAF meets, so swimmers must sign up with the Recreation Center if they would like to continue swimming.  The cost for current summer league swimmers is $100. Sign-ups are due June 20. Individual events for the regional meet are $6 each. 

Swimmers from all three Woodlands teams (Riptides, Waves, and Hurricanes) come together to swim on the TAAF team.  It is a lot of fun and a great way to extend the swim season!  There are restrictions for year-round swimmers. Please see one of the coaches if you have questions about eligibility.
