WLW vs. WNDR and IOST
Happy Sunday Waves families and swimmers! Congrats on a great first home meet! Thanks to all of our amazing volunteers this weekend. With over 400 swimmers every volunteer certainly was appreciated. Ready Bench went off without a hitch and our age group parents were so helpful during and after our thunder delay! Thanks again to the Bryant family for the popsicles!!!
Results can be found by scrolling through the red banner, clicking swim meets, finding yesterday's meet, and clicking on the first place icon. If you go to League results instead our meet is listed as WLW vs. WNDR. Thank you to everyone who stayed around to swim the final events and for the relays. We had several families leave during the weather delay and we cannot thank those swimmers who stepped in for relays at the end. Please keep in mind while we have individual events every race adds up to points for our entire team. With Memorial Day weekend coming, we need all of our Waves swimmers this weekend! We are expecting a great meet next weekend against Imperial Oaks which just happens to be a sort of homecoming for our very own Coach Spoon! Deadline for registering for the IOST meet is THIS TUESDAY at midnight.
Our remaining meets are available for registration on line. Divisionals is still being discussed with our Division rep and as soon as something is confirmed, I will let you know. This week we will have eligibility reports out for Ponderosa, Trinity, and Summer Heat. There will be information about these invitationals at the pool this week including deadlines for each entry. The entry report binder will be out on Thursday, and please do not forget to sign the relay binder if your swimmer will NOT be able to swim in a relay this weekend.
Looking forward to a great week at practice. Coach's will be working on several different components this week and will again address some things our swimmers need to work on. We know these next two weeks are a bit hectic and everyone is excited and anticipating summer, please remember and keep your swimmer mindful that practice is supposed to be fun but coaches also need everyone to be respectful and focused while at practice. They are there to help all of our swimmers improve while also teaching them about teamwork!
Have a great week and we will see you at the pool.
