Good Evening all!  I can't believe tomorrow is the big day!  Please see items below for last minute house keeping items that are very important.  I also want to give a huge should out to Nicole Gauthier, Emma, Ava and Allie Gauthier and to Josh, Angie and Addison DeMarco for being the ONLY Waves volunteers to help us out this evening.  It was a big job and while most teams had 5-8 people, our small and mighty crew worked their tails off ( AGAIN) to get it set up.  I know tomorrow we have several spots left open so please remember to see Angie, or me regarding items left.  Our handbook does require you to volunteer for at least two sessions per season.  We cannot do this alone!

 

Ok and now to the quick bits.  And there are several.  Please read carefully.  PRINT IT OUT< SAVE IT- BOOK MARK IT AND REREAD IT!

TOMORROW

- Arrive at check in at 6:45.  There is a Check in Table in the gym.  Please find Coach Lindsay for check in FIRST. Your Age group parents will be lined up underneath the basketball goal on the far end of the gym.

- Enter through the GYMNASIUM entrance and go right as you come in.  We are in the gym in the back behind Windrose. Do not put anything on the wood floors everything must be on the black mats laid out.  Please warn your swimmers the hallways are extremely slippery.

-We will leave an entry sheet at the check in table should you arrive after check in and need to write your events down. 

-Please be on time for warm ups!  If you are in a relay and you are not checked in, and at warm ups you will be scratched from your relay.  Coach will run relays during warm ups so be sure to stick with your foursome until you have run it with coach. Please be considerate of our warm up times, there are 4 other teams that must warm up as well

- There are open warm ups for anyone from 6:30-7:00

- The ready bench area is for swimmers and ready bench volunteers ONLY!!!!!

- Viewing area is VERY TIGHT and we need to keep the area in front of it clear for swimmers and officials to get around the pool area.

-Breakfast, lunch and snacks are available for purchase tomorrow.  THIS IS CASH ONLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

-There are no heat sheets for sale.  Print yours out before the meet or follow it on meet vision on your mobile device.

- IF YOU ORDERED SHIRTS, I WILL FIND YOU TOMORROW!  PLEASE DO NOT ASK ME FOR THEM FIRST THING IN THE MORNING!!!!  If you wrote a check - you will need to edit your check or rewrite onemad out to me as they would only take one check from the team tonight at pick up. (GRRRRR.....) If you paid in cash, you are fine.

-If someone is available in the morning to sort the remaining ribbons from IOST I have them.  Please only volunteer to do this, if your spouse is volunteering for another shift, or if you have fulfilled your requirement.  We need to fill all other volunteer positions first.  

 

TRINITY AND PONDEROSA DUE TOMORROW

-If you qualify for Trinity or Ponderosa while at the meet, circle the events you want to swim.  If you qualify for 3 events at Trinity, you may swim bonus events if you have official times for thos strokes.  (ie you qualify for back, free and breast but are just short of fly but did swim fly earlier this season and did not get DQ'd.  You will be able to swim fly at Trinity as a bonus event). I must have all entries by tomorrow at the close of our meet.  No exceptions.  If you are qualified, your times will be in green.  All individual events are $5 and you must make checks out to The Woodlands Township. There will be an envelope at the pool tomorrow.  Please DO NOT LEAVE CASH

 

 END OF THE SEASON PARTY -

- End of the season party is this coming Monday at Rob Fleming Aquatic Center.  The party is from 5:30-9:00 at Rob Fleming Aquatic Center.  We will be handing out several awards and the entire family is welcome.  I will send more information about this by the end of the weekend.  Apologies for late details, however the RFAC was closed until recently as the pumps were not working due to all the flooding.  We had to get clearance from the MUDD district in order to have the event here, otherwise we would have had to have the party at another location on another night.  Thanks for your patience in this matter.

 

Thanks again to all of you who make this team such a great success.  Tomorrow if you see Angie, Josh or Nicole, please be sure and give them a big thank you for making the trek out to Kingwood to set up tonight. For Angie and Nicole, it is not part of their "Volunteer or Job requirement" but they stepped up, bringing their little ones with them, because no one else did.  I do so appreciate all the time and energy they have put in this season.  What you see them do at the pool at practice and meets is only 1/2 of what they do all week!  Those ladies are AMAZING!!!  I cannot stress to you how much we need volunteers on this team, not just tomorrow but going forward.  Every little bit helps!

 

Please allow plenty of time to get to the meet, park, un pack and check in, remember, there are 5 teams at this meet!  I took 242 to 1314 tonight and it was about 45-50 min. drive.

P/S - If you swam a relay at Sprint Sizzler the Township will not cover the cost of relays.  I will let you know what you owe. (Basically $2.50 per relay as each relay was a $10.00 event) and you can pay me tomorrow or next week.  I was hoping they would cover the cost, however in the end they decided against it.  The total relays costs were $100.  Thank you.
