Good afternoon Waves swimmers and families!  This is a quick reminder there is a kick off party this Sunday from 1-3.  This is great for new members and fun for returning swimmers and families.  This is not mandatory.  There will be additional Waves information, tshirt pick up, and vendors along with Kona Ice and  bounce houses.  Please note the location has changed.  The party will no longer be at Rob Fleming Park but will be at the new Creekside Recreation Center (previously the YMCA in Creekside).  The address for the location is located on the team calendar on the web site. We hope to see you all there!  

 

A few other items:

 Meet the coaches will be held April 23rd at Forestgate Pool from 4-6.  Information and T-shirts will also be available at this time.  We will hold a small Q and A 4:30-5:00 this is extremely helpful for new swimmers and families.  Summer swim has a short learning curve so we encourage you to attend at this time if possible and to find a family that has previously been on the Waves to help you throughout the season.   

We have a few families who still have not paid for the 2017 season.  Please contact the rec center or Debbie Arnold before tomorrow afternoon or your child could be pulled from the team in order to make room for swimmers on the wait list.  If you have any questions regarding this, please feel free to contact me. 

And finally,  remember registration for time trials ( and all meets) IS OPEN.  Please encourage your child to swim all events they are eligible for.  This is the best time to do this. ( If you are new, do not worry, we can walk you through the process of registering your swimmers each week for their events),  Also remember volunteer positions are open but filling up fast.  If you would like to get in 2 of your volunteer sessions this Sunday and can work 12:30-3:00, please email me ASAP!  I am looking for 2-3 people!  Passwords for the web site have been reset to waves2017.  If you are a previous swimmer and have trouble logging in, you can try your previous password or reset your password. Please try to log on in the next few weeks in case you are having trouble, we can correct it.
