Good morning Waves swimmers and families!  Welcome to the 2017 summer swim season.  We are so excited to meet our new families and swimmers and can't wait to reconnect with returning members!

If you have not already done so, please go to our team website, www.woodlandswaves.swim-team.us to log in.  You will need the email you registered with and the password waves2017.  Here you will be able to register your swimmer for meets, volunteer and update and manage your profile.  Bookmark this site.  You will need this several times a week going forward. We will send out information quite regularly and if you miss anything for some reason, or have signed up late, all emails are also posted to this site.

A couple of notes and reminders as we go forward into this week

- no parents are allowed on the pool deck.  If you need something please approach your coach, team rep or volunteer coordinator after or before practices.  You may bring a chair and set up along the entry, the breezeway, and off behind the baby pool.  Please remember we are not responsible for your children if you drop them off.

-the first week of practice is pretty chaotic, and that's normal.  Some little ones may be nervous and a little overwhelmed, please reassure them and send them to their coaches.   We will work on getting them focused on practice and make it fun! We want everyone to feel comfortable and enjoy swimming! 

-swimmers need to bring goggles, fins, one piece suits for girls, towels, swim cap and a water bottle.  COACH SPOON INSISTS ON A WATER BOTTLE AT ALL PRACTICES!  If you do not have fins the first week, that is ok.  If you still need to purchase these items or a team suit (which is not mandatory) The Swim Shops of the Southwest on Woodlands Parkway in the Wal-Mart lot has our team suits and will offer you a swim team discount.

-for now 11/12 and 13 and up will swim separate practices.  We will let you know if the coaches decide to combine these practices.

- all spirit wear orders must be in to Stevi Venable tonight!  If you have any questions regarding Spirit Wear, Stevi will be at practice today 4:30-8:00.  If you miss her you can contact her at 936/524/1518  or [email protected]

We know several of you still may have a lot of questions.  We are happy to help out in any way that we can.  We are looking forward to a great season!  I will be at the pool about 4:30 and will be there for all practices.  Tomorrow I will be at practice for a bit.  Thursday and Friday, I will be at all practices.  If you need me and cannot get to me, feel free to email me.  I try to answer all questions as soon as I can. 

 

Practices Tuesday - Friday at Forestgate Pool - weather cancelations will be done through Remind101.  Please be sure to register for Remind101 this week.
