TRINITY INFORMATION - SATURDAY AND SUNDAY.
Dear Trinity swimmers and families thank you for your patience regarding Trinity information while I dealt with a family matter earlier this week. In this email you will find information regarding set up, check in, volunteers and weather information. I have also included the timeline for Trinity. Please know this is only a rough timeline, DO NOT RELY ON THIS. TRINITY HAS BEEN KNOWN TO RUN AHEAD AS MUCH AS 15 MINUTES AND BEHIND AS MUCH AS 30 MINUTES! I have also attached the meet information guide again. Please use this information to answer some questions you may have. If you still have questions feel free to contact me or other families who have been to Trinity! Its a fun day!
CHECK IN / WARM UPS/SET-UP-
Check ins will be promptly at 6:00 am. You will check in with Coach Lindsay and Coach Keeley. We will try to send a remind 101 early Satrunday morning if we know where we will be set up to begin checking in. Set up is under the bleachers and in the grassy area. We do try and set up as a team so please look for your Waves family each morning. If you want to set up in the grassy area, be sure to bring your tent. Bring chairs, stadium blankets, games, coolers and whatever else you may needk it is a long day. There are concessions at the meet but bringing your own snacks and drinks is always a good idea
Warm ups for the Waves will begin at 6:30 am both Saturday and Sunday. Yes it is early, but there will be a lot of swimmers this weekend! The meet will start at 8:00 each morning. Please be sure to review the event order. 10 and unders will swim in the Central Pool and 11 and ups will swim in both pools on Sunday (girls in one, boys in the other). Please remind your swimmer to shower in the natatorium showers before warm ups as policy set in place by the Conroe ISD Natatorium. You will enter warm ups through the ready bench area. After warm ups, parents will not be allowed on deck unless they are volunteering.
THE NATATORIUM
If you have never been to or swam in the Natatorium please prepare your swimmer. It is a big building with two large pools and a large electronic scoreboard. This can be intimidating to new swimmers. Please reassure them the pool is the same distance and it's only a bigger stage for them to do their thing! It is pretty cool for swimmers to be able to see their names and times "in lights". You will watch your swimmer from the upper decks and then meet them outside the doors where they exit. Please be sure your child knows where you will meet them, or have someone ready to meet them while you get downstairs. They will not be allowed to stand on deck, and you will not be allowed to go on deck to get them. You can encourage your swimmers to talk to their coaches after each race in order to give you time to get downstairs!
PAYMENT-
If you have not paid, please try and bring your check to the pool by tomorrow morning 7:00-11:00 am. You must have paid in order to swim!
VOLUNTEERS (From Trinity meet staff and Waves)
Trinity families from all participating teams who want to be close to the action can volunteer to be Timers, Scribes, and Runners by using the Trinity Summer Classic SignUp.com link. It's fast, free, and your contact details are kept private. Sign up now for the best seat in the CISD Natatorium! As for volunteers for the Waves, if you would like to volunteer as an age group parent for and age group, purchase a heat sheet at the meet ( usually $5) and bring a sharpie. If you would like me to print you a sheet for your age group and bring to the pool tomorrow am, please let me know by 8:00 pm tonight so I have plenty of time to print. (please remember if you agree to be age group parent we will not have signs and you will need to get all swimmers for every event, not just your swimmers events) If you do not have an age group parent, please do not worry, walk your swimmer to ready bench and feel free to remain there until your swimmers name is called. You and your swimmer are responsible for getting your swimmer to their events!
WEATHER ( from Trinity Meet Staff)
The Trinity Summer Classic benefits from being held in the Conroe ISD Natatorium, a tournament-class, fully-grounded, and weather-proof indoor facility. This means we do not suffer thunder delays as with other invitationals.
Our guests set up under the stadium bleachers, and we will only stop calling swimmers to the ready bench if there is lightning in the immediate vicinity. This is safety precaution.
If the weather is very severe, we have contingency plans in place to have set-up inside the Natatorium (holds 1,200), with ready bench calls facilitated by Trinity's use of the MeetBop ap.
